Not really, hopefully a wake up call, the guy needs to get some of his legs back or he wont do anything on the big ice.

I dont think Lucic will make this team. Would look pretty sluggish on that big ice.
Bergeron should definantly be there. Marchand is an interesting one... Maybe in the right fourth line role. So agitating and effective.

Maybe Chara can change citizenship?

Canada needs Tuukka more than anything

I think Bergy makes it too, both Marchand and Looch will be long shots. Big ice definitely isn't in Milan's favour, but the knocks on his skating are over blown. He can actually move really well for a big man.

I remember how bad Pronger looked in 2006 on that big ice.
Man that was brutal.

I think in his role we just have alternatives with a bit more speed.
I love his game on NHL ice...

Tuukka as a canadian would be by far the best solution to Canada's woes. I dont feel terrible as having Lou as a number one. i just believe it is our weakest position.

Canada has never had a problem in goal, even during the tourny, when some one drops the ball, someone picks it back up. We have lots of depth, someone will step up to plate.

It'll be interesting to see how the goalie battle pans out. I'm leaning towards Price taking the lead when push comes shove. Not sure how healthy Ward is, but surprised he wasn't on the list.

Love Lucic and think Marchand is a valuable player on an NHL squad but don't think either should be on Team Canada. Lucic because the faster paced game on the big ice might prove to be too fast for him and Marchand because the IIHF refs, on European soil will be calling way too many penalties.

Bergeron should be a lock for 4th line center duties IMO.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Luongo starts the tourney.

I'm not saying he should make the team, I don't think he should...but for all he has done for Hockey Canada I think he should at least get an invite.

Agreed that Lucic won't be there but using your point about the penalties that will be called, having Marchand around as a PK specialist just might be a selection genius.

Don't get me wrong, the little (frank)ing would be effective but I don't know who you leave off to talk a "Specalist" like Marchand. Hall? Eberle?

Would love to see the outrage from every fan base if Marchand makes it over certain guys.

My gut tells me there is going to be some surprises with the selections this time around. With the biggest question mark being in net, I wouldn't be surprised to see a roster of guys who can score but are also responsible in their own end as well.

or 2006's Kris Draper. An honored member of #99's country club team sent to Torino.

FYI...Bergeron had a groin pull in 2010 tourney which limited his effectiveness...he still took many key faceoffs though...

Lucic isn't a bad skater since he's a big guy but I don't think he can hold up on the open ice. Bergeron is a lock for me

Does anyone realistically see lucic or Marchand making the team?

I think berg will be a lock but team Canada is basically exploding with talent.

Nothing against lucic and Marchand, but I think there will be a slew of better options.

Arguably still not 100% from his concussion either. Took him until 2011 to really look like himself again.

I think most sensible people see them as significant long shots at best.
